Our Commitment to Decarbonization

At Open Water, we believe it is incumbent upon us to be both good stewards of capital and citizens of the communities in which we live and work.

Open Water has emerged as a leader in the carbon capture, utilization, and sequestration (“CCUS”) space. We view CCUS as a key to curbing the impact of climate change and are working as one of the first developers to own, operate, and invest in commercial CCUS hubs in North America. We are at the front end of the emerging low-carbon economy across carbon offsets and tax equity, creating value for our counterparties and stakeholders.

The Open Water Difference

We can perform more robust diligence with a unique appreciation for technical risk than finance-oriented firms.  Our firm can underwrite across a variety of basins and verticals, mitigating concentration and portfolio risk.

We can lever our experiences to create more successful investments with our operating partners. Our industry relationships allow us to provide unique insight into improving operational performance.

We have the skills and people to ensure our investments are protected.  Our team has physically operated assets in challenging environments and can seamlessly step into controlling positions.

Our Focus

At Open Water, we believe it is incumbent upon us to be both good stewards of capital and citizens of the communities in which we live and work.

Our team has established relationships with the various regulatory agencies and environmental consultants in our focus basins, enabling us to complete thorough due diligence prior to consummating any financing.  Additionally, we’ll work with our operating partners to implement the latest technologies as it relates to water recycling and CO2 emission reductions.
